I think balance is crucial within Art, and what makes a good artist is versatility, True, manipulators won’t enjoy this work as much as someone who is into.. Say, fashion or make-up but that goes for the rest of my gallery, it’s a lose/ lose situation. if you want to look at it this way, there will always be someone that doesn’t like my work, but I hope there will be someone who does. I think that being a good artist includes taking chances, getting it wrong, making mistakes.. Getting it right! And that’s what rounds us and makes us better. I think it’s crucial to be able to take criticism when needed, but to also stand up for your work when appropriate, and if you’re proud of your work then keep your head up high, and if I’m the one person that likes this piece then so be it! I don’t want to be JUST a manipulator, I think a visually busy piece can be as beautiful as something simple. I want to see what else there is and be able to try everything, so I can include different things from different subjects, and hopefully that will be a strength.
